The International Sheep dog Society, ISDS, Supreme Sheepdog Finals for
2004, were held near Llandeilo, in Carmarthenshire, Wales. Here the
best of the Border Collie breed, in the UK, came to compete. Top
handlers such as, Bobby Dalziel, Johnny Wilson, Con Mcgarry, Aled Owen
and Bobby Henderson, just to mention a few, competed in this year's
highly regarded Border Collie, sheepdog trial. The number one sheepdog
trial in the World.
This 160 minute video highlights the 3 days of
sheepdog trialling. It follows the progress of the first 2 days of the
Qualifying Trials and Brace Championship, and then focusing on the
final day of the International Sheepdog Society's, ISDS, annual Supreme
Finals. For the final day, the higher the placing the greater the
amount of time spent on their run. This is the final major sheepdog
trial of the season in the UK.
The next major event, apart from the
nursery trials, will be the World Sheepdog Trials, to be held in
Ireland next July, where Border Collie handlers from all around the
world will come to compete. This will be the main sheepdog trial in
2005, with hundreds of Border Collies of many nationalities coming
together to celebrate the ISDS World Sheepdog Championship.
