Through out the year, there are many veterinary operations that have to be considered in your sheep operation. These do vary according to your geographic locality. As I mention in our Sheep Management video, one of the most important issues for any new sheep producer, is to find a local veterinarian who is interested in sheep production and able in giving good and sound advice. The old saying that "one sheep's enemy is another sheep" is a valid and worthy description. You will encounter veterinary problems that will be both simple to treat and also difficult and frustrating to treat. A good vet is a great asset to any sheep operation
