Introduction
"Starting Your Border Collie on Cattle,
Sheep or Ducks" is the 3rd video that Rural Route Videos (RRV) have
produced on training Border Collies. Rural Route Videos began with
Starting a Border Collie in 1984, Training
and Working a Border Collie in 1989 and finally
Starting Your Border Collie on Cattle, Sheep or
Ducks in 1996.
I became involved with Border Collies on my father's farm when I
was a teenager. At this time I was reduced to having to watch the
shepherds rather than owning my own dog. It wasn't until I left
college and began working on a hill farm on the Black Mountains in
South Wales that I bought my first Border Collie, a nine month old
dog by the nine of Dan.
