For registering Border Collies, there is one main registery in the UK., the
International Sheep Dog Society, ISDS, and then in North America the main registry is the
American Border Collie Association. These are both very significant associations in the
furtherment of our Border Collies and in making sure that our breed stays as true to form
as the Border Collies of the earlier years, bred for work and skill, rather than looks and
conformation. In the past few year, the the International Sheep Dog Society and the American
Border Collie Association have been working together to stream line some of the international
challenges associated with Border Collie lines on both sides of the pond. For information on
either of these associations please go to our links page under Border Collies. They are under
the International Sheep Dog Society and the American Border Collie Association

I returned to the trial field just in time for the running of the last 4 brace competitors,
starting out with Wyn Edwards. I continued filming parts of their runs and then when the last
of the 4 brace competitors, Peter Martin, came to the field I was called away for an interview
that I had been waiting to get. I took the interview instead and so ended up missing Peter's
great run for the 2nd spot in the finals. The field had flooded on the Thursday night and
Friday morning and so the competitors on the 2nd day were at a disadvantage but that’s just
how it goes. Here are the final results of the Brace Championship.
